September has come and gone and with it, summer has faded into fall. This means it's also time for my first ever monthly favorites post (yay!), most of which came from a CVS and Walgreens drugstore haul I did earlier in the month. Without further adieu, let's get started...
L'Oreal Paris Infallible 24HR Eyeshadow Endless Sea 337 ($8.29)
I often pass by the Infallible eyeshadows, look at them, but for whatever reason never purchase. But I can't resist anything teal or greenish-blue so when Endless Sea caught my eye, I had to have it. I'm so glad I did because I love this eyeshadow. It has a mousse-like texture and somehow manages to act like a pigment and pressed powder and the results are beautiful, especially packed on the mobile lid. I also love that it holds up to my always-watering eyes. I'll most definitely be buying more colors on my next shopping trip.
Makeup Forever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation ($43.00)
I received a deluxe sample of Makeup Forever's new Ultra HD foundation in the shade Y225 Marble (there are 40 shades available) from Sephora a few months ago and finally decided to try it. This is a great foundation and because it's meant to be invisible under a 4K HD lens, it's super lightweight, but provides medium to full coverage on the face.
I like to apply this foundation with a damp sponge, like a beautyblender ($20.00) or Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge ($6.00), and then set it with a light layer of the Urban Decay Naked Skin Ultra Definition Pressed Finishing Powder ($34.00), using a big, fluffy brush (I love the G7 Round Powder Brush from Morphe Brushes). This foundation is definitely worth adding to my collection.
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blush Flushed 30 ($8.99)
I'm a sucker for a bright, vivid blush and while I was browsing through the makeup section at CVS, these new blushes from Neutrogena really stood out among the rest of their products that are more on the neutral side. This is a fantastic blush and very similar in texture and pigmentation to the Clinique Cheek Pops I blogged about a few weeks ago. A little goes a long way and you can either wear a sheer wash on the cheeks or build up the color for a more dramatic look. Healthy Skin Blush is also very long-lasting. I put it on in the morning before work and it still looks great into the evening. I'll probably pick up a few more of these on my next shopping trip, too.
Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Single Brulee ($.99)
I really these eyeshadow singles from Wet n Wild and own a few already, including Nutty, which is a beautiful cool-toned frosty brown color. I've always wanted to try Brulee, but it's always sold out anytime I'm specifically looking for it. After finally finding it in stock at Walgreens and using it these past few weeks, I can totally see why. For an eyeshadow that only costs 99 cents, it has a velvety texture that's super blendable. It's a beautiful bone-colored neutral, perfect to use as an all-over base color on the entire lid or to highlight under the brow.
Tweezerman Pink Perfection Slant Tweezer ($23.00)
I usually buy cheap tweezers from the drugstore, which is totally fine to do, but because I perform eyebrow maintenance everyday, I decided to treat myself to a slightly more expensive pair. These tweezers are slanted and make grabbing even the teeniest of hairs super easy. The tweezers themselves are a little longer than ones I've used before and I could be imagining it, but this seems to add to how effective they are. I'm really happy I splurged.
Note: These particular tweezers are a Sephora exclusive.
And there you have them - my September favorites. What have some of your favorites been? Let me know in the comments below!
